This is a beautiful hand-embroidered dowry purse probably from the Sindh region of Pakistan, a desert area that border Rajasthan in India. Mirror work and floral embroidery. Some signs of wear consistent with age - probably around 1940/50s. These were dowry purses made from a wedding to hold gifts of money, but this practice is now outlawed. Own a beautiful piece of history.
